They believe the 2×2 church is the narrow way that leads to heaven and the broad and easy way leads to hell. Jesus said:
Matt. 7:13-15 – Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
The Peshitta Bible: Enter through the narrow door, for wide is the door, and broad is the path that leads to oblivion, and numerous are those who go that way. But it is the constricting door and the narrow path that lead to life everlasting and few are those that find it.
Worker Quote: Matthew 7:14. Jesus there speaks about this as a narrow way. I am glad it is, it couldn’t be a wonderful way if it was a broad way; everything would come in and spoil the way. Keep the purpose before us in making it no broader than He intended, but as much as we possibly can the narrow way. Gal. 5:13 – “Ye have been called unto liberty; only use not Liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” Let us not take liberties; see how far we can go in things. Let us keep the beautiful, lovely narrow Way of God. (Dan Hilton)
Worker Quote: Some feel they would like to be a Christian, but it costs too much. Paul didn’t hide from us the fact that it is a costly thing to be a Christian. The gate is strait and the way is narrow, and the men and women who enter in by that gate and walk in that Way have got to face up what it really means (Jack Carroll, Silverdale, BC Canada 1956).
