Members sometimes refer to their 2×2 belief system as a Perfect Way or God’s Perfect Way. A common phrase used is: God’s Way is perfect, but the people are not perfect.
Psalm 18:30 – As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
Worker Quote: Jesus came to give us a perfect way–to show a perfect way to glorify God in our lives (Bert Wiseham*).
Worker Quote: You may have missed steps in the Way, but it does not alter this Way because it is a perfect Way (Bill Macourt, Wms, Aust, 2003).
Worker Quote: Isaiah 5:7 – When David was speaking about the church, he said, “As for God, His way is perfect.” You are reading in these verses about God’s perfect way. The Lord asks, “What more could I have done?” The God of perfection doing everything He could to produce a perfect fellowship. The reason it was not fruitful wasn’t the fault of the church. If you are an unfruitful person, or if I am, it isn’t the fault of God’s way. This is still God’s perfect way, just as perfect as it ever was. The fault lies in the error of the vines within the vineyard (Overseer Howard Mooney, Great Falls, Montana Sp. Mtg. 1970).
Worker Quote: We don’t mean when we speak of a perfect way that God’s People are perfect. God’s people are imperfect people walking in a perfect way, going on to perfection, but the way is perfect. (Dan Hilton.)
